About the Event

The official pilot season is near! Improv for the Actor will prepare students for single-cam and multi-cam comedy auditions by using both long form improvisation and script work. Long form improv provides actors the opportunity to organically create spontaneous, comedic scenes. The class will then break down those scenes to understand how comedy works: patterns, scene structure, musicality, timing, emotions, etc., and apply those tools to scripts for mock auditions. Actors will leave this class with the skills they need to stand out in their auditions and share their unique comedic voice.
