Mastering Pop Rock Songs BootCamp

Calling all singers, songwriters, and voiceover artists!  Pop/Rock is currently the most asked for genre in auditions, so join us for Mastering Pop Rock Songs BootCamp where students work on group Pop/Rock performance numbers, solos, and/or duets, while exploring songwriting and the history of popular music, + more! Voiceover artists are encouraged to join as they are frequently asked to prepare Pop/Rock materials for auditions. Students who play instruments are encouraged to bring them. End the week on Friday with a showcase featuring a live band for family & friends. We can't wait to see you there!

Meet Your Instructor:

Bobby Cronin is a multi-disciplinary, multi-award winning  composer, lyricist, bookwriter, music producer, arranger, director, and educator whose work has been seen all over the globe (visit www.BobbyCronin.com for that) 

He has worked/written for with Emmy, Grammy, & Tony winner Billy Porter, Tony winner Jordan Roth, Eden Espinosa (Wicked, Brooklyn), Cassie Levy (Caroline or Change, Les Miserables, Wicked), Tony nominee Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice), Jordan Donica (Camelot, Hamilton), Tony nominee Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde), Tony nominee Andy Karl (Groundhog Day, Into the Woods), Tony winner Orfeh (Legally Blonde), Tony nominee Christy Altomare (Anastasia), Natalie Weiss (Breaking Down the Riffs) and many, many more Broadway stars and rising stars. 

As a voice and acting teacher, several of Bobby's students have gone on to win Tony Awards including Ali Stroker (Oklahoma) and Ari'el Stachel (The Band's Visit). And he has loved watching his students (many from the Prep) in several other Broadway shows including: Les Miserables, School of Rock, Tina, Caroline or Change, Waitress, Wicked, Assassins, Be More Chill, and more.

As a music producer and songwriting teacher, Bobby has developed many artists including the Prep's own Claire Kennedy (debut album - Hindsight), Caitlin Cameron (debut album - Out of Body), and Skyler Fields (debut album - First) -  available on all streaming platforms. He also co-produced Broadway's Lauren Elder's self-titled debut singer/songwriter album. 

Bobby has taught at NYU/CAP21, UPenn, New York Film Academy's Professional Musical Theatre Conservatory. He was the head of Harvard's summer high school musical theatre program for which he created the curriculum and taught several courses. 

Bobby graduated from Yale University where he won the Michael P. Manzella Award. He is a member of ASCAP and the Dramatists Guild.
