Elana Safar is thrilled to be working with The Prep as she harbors a giant passion for nurturing young talent! A working actor, she is proudly signed with Take 3 Talent. Her TV credits include Quantico, The Blacklist, Damages, and Small Miracles. She has also appeared in films, commercials, musicals, plays, and staged readings opposite such legendary performers as Brooke Shields and Tovah Feldshuh. Elana earned a Master’s degree in Educational Theatre from NYU, a BA from Brandeis University, and trained in Terry Knickerbocker’s two-year Meisner conservatory. She previously interned in casting at the Papermill Playhouse.
Elana finds immense joy in helping her students achieve their dreams through her work as a coach, teaching artist, and NYC school musical theater director. For on-camera technique, she draws upon the  industry-relevant tools she has learned from Bob Krakower, as well as from her work as an ongoing reader for casting directors, talent agents, and managers.
In order to provide even greater support to students and parents, Elana is undergoing certification in dealing with mental health issues as a performing arts instructor. Ultimately, Elana makes sure that her students learn practical acting tools, gain audition confidence, and feel good while doing it!
