The Prep is thrilled to produce PSYKIDZ, an original musical by Prep instructor and multi-award winning composer/writer BOBBY CRONIN. We will utilize cutting-edge technology to create a musical digital film starring our talented Prep students.

SYNOPSIS

Pre-teen Magnolia Donovan "sees things", much to the dismay of her father Leo. Along with her Nana, Magnolia & Leo head to an old inn in Vermont for a get away. There they encounter two families who have been chosen by world renowned psychic-medium Skylar Quinn to get specialized on-site training. After Nana convinces Skylar to let Magnolia join, the psychic kids develop their skills while helping a separated ghost family lost in the afterlife. To face her demons, Magnolia must believe in herself to exorcise the Shadow Man and, with the help of her new Psykidz friends, save the ghost family.

MAGNOLIA DONOVAN, 12 year old girl with psychic abilities she doesn't understand. She sees ghosts and is afraid to tell anyone since her father doesn't believe her. Mix/belt to E with strong low notes

LEO DONOVAN, Magnolia's father who is concerned that his daughter may be acting out since her mother left and seeking attention with her ghost stories. Bari-Tenor to G#

NANA DONOVAN, Leo's mother and Magnolia's grandmother. A blunt and pushy, yet caring woman who would do anything for her family. She believes in Magnolia's abilities. Mix/belt to D#

INNKEEPER, the wacky Innkeeper who knows the lay of the land, the history, and what people have experienced in the Olde Inn. Chest to C# with a soprano note.

SKYLAR QUINN, a world renowned psychic medium with a show on television. Huge personality. Belt/Mix to E

PATTY, hairdresser who is a guest on the Skylar Quinn TV show.

JOCELYN COOPER-WELLS, a supportive mother to her son Justice. She believes in his psychic abilities.

BETH COOPER-WELLS, a dry-witted but loving wife of Jocelyn and mother to Justice. She is suspicious of Skylar's intentions and abilities.

JUSTICE COOPER-WELLS, a mature and well dressed 10 year old who often plays peace-maker to his mothers. He has trouble sleeping in his own bed at night due to hearing spirits and having extremely vivid dreams, often predicting events both positive and negative. Unchanged boy vocal range.

JANE ARNOLD, a religious single mother caring for her quirky and clairaudient twins who can communicate without speaking.

OLIVIA ARNOLD, the louder, bolder of the twins. Solid vocal range.

CASEY ARNOLD, the more reserved, but funny, twin. (NOTE: can be  played by a male or female).

ALEXANDER J. KENDALL, a kind but pushy teenage ghost boy from the Civil War era who is stuck in one realm with his little sister while searching for his parents. Written for a voice that has changed up to F#

MARGERY KENDALL, Alexander's sassy younger sister.

CAPTAIN JOSEPH KENDALL, a soldier who lost his family during a Civil War battle. Has a pipe with him. Baritone.

MRS. SARAH KENDALL, his loving wife, still distraught after all these years that she is not with her children.

SAVANNAH*, a guardian angel who guides Magnolia with warmth and light. Legit soprano.

MIKEY, a practical joker spirit guide who is Kyla's brother.

KYLA, Mikey's sister who is also a spirit guide who likes to play pranks on the living.
