Hayden John is a composer, pianist, and singer who has been classically trained in piano since the age of five. Beginning at age 10, Hayden competed in the national Golden Key Music Festival, earning eight gold medals, one silver medal, and one bronze medal, as well as eight performances at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall.

In 2020, Hayden began studying composition with Dr. Nick DiBerardino, Chair of the Composition Department at the Curtis Institute of Music. That same year, at the Golden Key Music Festival, he was awarded the Third Degree Diploma in the International Category for his piano duet Memorabilia. He also received an Honorable Mention in the 2017 Golden Key Competition for his solo piano work Inconsolable. In 2021, Hayden was named the Grand Prize winner of the NJMEA Young Composers Competition for his solo cello work An Angry Young Man. He was accepted into the 2020 Young Artist Summer Program at the Curtis Institute of Music for composition and received his first commission that same year from the National Association of Water Companies for Water is a Permanent Memory, a wind quintet.

Hayden earned his Bachelor of Music in Composition from the Florida State University College of Music. He studied composition with Dr. Liliya Ugay and piano performance with Dr. Heidi Louise Williams. While at Florida State, he received an Honorable Mention for his performance of Chopin's Nocturne No. 13 in C Minor, Op. 48, No. 1 at the Annual Competitive Piano Festival in February 2026. He also coordinated and supervised numerous premieres of his original compositions for university recitals. From 2021 to 2022, Hayden additionally studied composition at the Cleveland Institute of Music under Dr. Keith Fitch, Chair of the Composition Department.

In his free time, Hayden enjoys watching sports, hiking, working out, swimming, traveling, and spending time with his family. He also serves as a lead singer and keyboardist at his church and performs throughout the area as a freelance musician and piano instructor.
