Kara Pizzolo

Vocal Coaching - In Person & Virtual

Kara Pizzolo has been training as a Private Voice student of Theresa Fowler Pittius since 2016 and has been training in dance since 2001. Kara's hands-on experience as a Prep Faculty apprentice for the past four years now makes her one of the area's most sought-after and up-and-coming Private Voice coaches. Students gain confidence, find their voice, learn proper vocal technique and become all around stronger performers under her instruction. Her favorite theatre credits include: FOOTLOOSE (Rusty), In The Heights (CARLA), and Spring Awakening (ANNA). Kara is honored to officially be a member of The Prep faculty, and is making major strides as an instructor.

TESTIMONIALS

Kennedy has been training at The Prep for seven months with Miss Kara Pizzolo in singing and musical theater. Miss Kara was Kennedy's very first coach at the Prep and has made such a lasting impression on Kennedy that we now train full time at the Prep. Miss Kara is the nicest, sweetest most professional singing coach a kid (and parent) could ask for. She made Kennedy feel so comfortable with her singing that she now wants to sing on The voice!! Miss Kara has returned every text, email and call I have made. She has answered numerous industry questions I had as a parent and has even helped me navigate bookings at the Prep.

Supportive, enthusiastic, compassionate, and talented are just a few words to describe Miss Kara. Since starting Vocal Technique with Miss Kara, Aurelia has blossomed. She is developing a lifelong love of music and the arts. With the guidance of Miss Kara, Aurelia has booked virtual theatre roles of Dakota in Dance Divas Nutcracker, Snoopy in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown, Brooke Windham in Legally Blonde and has joined other children at Radio City Music Hall to open for the Rockettes.

Over the past month or so I've been training with Kara at The Prep for my upcoming role of Elle Woods in Legally Blonde at Shore Regional High School. Kara has already taught me so much in such little time. Without her, I wouldn’t have been able to feel confident while performing on stage!

Kennedy has been training one-on-one with Miss Kara but she also has participated in some group classes. In musical Theater class Kennedy started creating her song book, learned about different genres of music, what to wear to an audition and how to pick your tempo. That class was amazing. Kennedy was only 6 years old and she made some Prep besties and met girls that she truly admires and looks up to. That class was so well organized and every student was able to perform and receive feedback from their peers as well as from Miss Kara. There is something very special about Miss Kara's gentle nature. I think it creates a safe space for students to really emerge and blossom. Thank you so much for all that you do. We are truly grateful to have met you and be training with such an amazing coach. “

For over a year, our daughter has had the pleasure of working with Kara at The Prep. In addition to her abilities as a vocal coach, Kara is a very kind and caring individual with tremendous talent. She provides a level of trust which allows our daughter to explore vocal challenges well beyond her comfort level. It is quite evident that she enjoys working with young people. Our daughter looks forward to each and every session she spends with Kara. She has inspired our daughter to have an even greater love for singing.

It is with great pleasure that we recommend Kara to anyone seeking an outstanding vocal coach.
