Lucas Turner

Acting Technique - In Person + Virtual

Lucas is an NYC/NJ-based actor and singer with credits spanning the past 20 years. He graduated with a BFA in Acting from Montclair State University and a minor in Musical Theatre.  He has originated roles in Coming of Age, Zombie Wedding, and Life Sucks…Just Kidding.  Other regional credits include: [title of show] (Porch Light Theatre), Seminar (Women’s Theater of New Jersey), The Last Five Years (George Street Playhouse), Fabulous Darshan: A Reading (Workshop Theatre).  In addition, he has a few recent film/web series credits in: The Adventures of Mr. Silent, Forever Hold Your Peace, You Will Love On.

Lucas has previously taught acting and many theatrical subjects at The Gifted Child Society and has worked with private students for the past 10 years.  He believes that finding each actor’s authentically grounded viewpoint, script analysis (“peeling away the onion”), and bold choices are the keys to landing roles and giving dynamic performances. As every actor is different, Lucas takes great care to adjust these techniques to fit the individual.
