Sam Parker
Acting Technique/Evaluation Instructor - Virtual
Sam Parker is a New York City-based actor, educator, and improviser. He has extensive experience in coaching and acting with young artists of all ages. He holds a BFA in Musical Theater from Otterbein University (Westerville, OH). He completed an Internship with Tara Rubin Casting, where he was part of the team that cast the hit Broadway musical, “School of Rock.” He has lead numerous school-based acting workshops throughout New York City for The Shubert Foundation and served as an acting coach for iTheatrics at the Junior Theater Festival.
Sam’s teaching style blends time-honored acting techniques with an emphasis on student empowerment. Sam encourages his actors to connect personally to their characters, enabling them to make individual choices that are grounded in reality. Sam’s method has led to great success for many of his young actors. Over the past year, Sam’s students booked roles in national tours, feature films, and commercials. Sam is also proud to be a mentor to actors looking to break into the performance industry. He had several students sign with representation in 2022.
Sam prides himself on his preparedness, patience, professionalism, and positivity. He is excited to instill these same qualities into a new generation of aspiring actors.
